Hello, cookie lovers!

I’m Stephanie, founder and chief cookie maker at The Treatory. After finishing uni and feeling a bit lost, I leaned into my sweet tooth and passion for creating food that makes people happy. In 2019, The Treatory was born in my tiny home kitchen with just a wooden spoon, a mixing bowl from my mum, and a lot of elbow grease. Each batch made only eight cookies, which meant late nights, sore arms, and a kitchen covered in flour and chocolate. After six months of tweaking, I finally launched with three flavours — not knowing if anyone would even want them!

Since then, that little kitchen project has grown into something bigger than I could have imagined. We’ve created more than 50 limited-edition flavours (from Brookies to Banoffee and beyond), expanded to nationwide delivery, and been honoured as a finalist in the David Awards for “Most Outstanding Fledgling Business.” Along the way, we’ve hand-rolled and baked hundreds of thousands of chunky cookies, moved into our very own cookie factory in 2022 with an amazing crew, and, in 2024, opened our first Ponsonby Central storefront, with more to come!

At The Treatory we’re still committed to using the best ingredients, from Belgian chocolate to local produce, because every bite should be special. Food is meant to be enjoyed, treasured, and shared — and that’s exactly what our cookies are here for. Whether it’s a treat for yourself, a box for friends, or a sweet gift, every cookie is baked with love.
